AI Usage Policy
AI Writing Policy:
Weโre not against using AI. Itโs a useful tool for organizing your thoughts, cleaning up your writing, or getting past writerโs block. But it should only be a starting point. What you share should always come from you (your words, your understanding, and your effort).
Thereโs a lot of debate about AI. Some argue that using it means itโs not really your work or your art, while others believe it just helps you express yourself better. Either way, AI is meant to help you, not speak for you. You still need to know what youโre talking about and be able to stand by what youโve written or created.
We do check for obvious AI use, because we want to hear your own voice. Can people get around AI detectors? Of course, but it will show when itโs time to answer questions or actually roleplay. If you rely on AI to do all the heavy lifting, it will catch up to you, especially when you have to respond on the spot or go deeper in an interview.
Bottom line: Use AI as a tool, not a crutch. What you turn in should be your own work, not just something copy-pasted from a chatbot. If you let AI do all the talking, youโll have a hard time when it really counts.
AI Artwork Policy
If you want your character to be an artist but drawing or painting isnโt your strength, you can use AI to help show what your character creates. Thatโs fine with us. We just ask that you give it an honest effort. Itโs about capturing the spirit of your character, not perfection.
Make sure your characterโs talents make sense for who they are. It wouldnโt be realistic for someone to be a top mechanic, a scientist, and an accomplished artist all at the same time. Try to keep things believable.
If you need artwork, a business sign, or a logo, look for another player in the city who actually roleplays as a graphic artist or sign maker. Reach out and work with them first. It brings the community together and gives everyone more to do.
In short: Use AI for art if you need to show off your characterโs creative side, but always try to involve other players before turning to AI. Thatโs what keeps the world interesting.
