3. Establishment & Accountability

🏛️ Establishment & Accountability

3.1 ✨ Minimum Membership & Leadership

  • Every faction must have at least five active members and a clearly identified leader (Boss, President, or equivalent) before applying.

  • During application, each member provides their in-game character name and Discord handle for tracking.

  • Leadership Requirements:

    • Leaders must remain active in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC).

    • If a leader resigns, they have 14 days to name a successor. Faction Management may appoint a new leader if no successor is named.

    • If a leader is banned, the faction holds an in-game vote for a new leader, or Faction Management will assign one.

    • Leaders must join the Community Discord and maintain regular communication with Faction Management.

    • Rule violations by a leader result in automatic strikes—three strikes lead to removal by Faction Management.

    • Disrespect or harassment of Faction Management or staff (IC or OOC) can lead to faction termination.

3.2 ✍️ Application Submission

  1. Faction Overview: Explain your faction’s purpose, style, and in-game identity.

  2. Backstory & Goals: Provide your origin story (fictional or realistic) and outline short- and long-term objectives in Liberty City, 2025.

  3. Proof of Activity: Attach screenshots, short video clips, or written RP excerpts showing prior engagement in the city’s underworld.

  4. Submit: Post your application in the “Faction Applications” channel on Discord. Faction Management will respond within 72 hours. Missing information prompts a request for revision.

3.3 📋 Interaction Logging

  • Every official faction logs all significant hostile events (drive-bys, targeted hits, robberies, turf disputes, etc.) within 24 hours. Each log entry includes:

    • Who was involved

    • Where it occurred

    • What happened (brief description)

    • A short clip or screenshot gallery as proof

  • Post logs in your faction’s designated “Faction Logs” thread on Discord.

  • Failure to log or repeated late submissions result in warnings, faction strikes, or temporary suspension.

3.4 🚨 Ensuring Faction Activity

  • Factions inactive for more than 14 days without notifying Faction Management risk being closed.

  • Activity is evaluated by in-game participation and contributions to the faction’s Discord thread.

3.5 ⚖️ Compliance & Discipline

  1. Complaint & Strike Process:

    • First Offense: Written warning; leader submits a corrective plan within 48 hours.

    • Second Offense: Temporary suspension of official privileges (loss of thread access, recruitment freeze) for one week.

    • Third Offense: Permanent disbandment. Refusal to disband may lead to further action.

  2. Rapid Strike Rule: Two strikes within one week result in immediate deactivation.

  3. Leader Responsibility: Leaders are accountable for ensuring members understand and follow all rules. Member violations still count against the faction.

3.6 🔑 Faction Management Access

  • Each faction assigns a Discord role for Liberty Stories owners and at least one Faction Management member. This role allows them to view all faction-specific channels (applications, logs, internal discussions, war plans).

  • Granting access ensures transparency and allows Faction Management to monitor compliance, review logs, and intervene if necessary.

  • Revoking or withholding this role without approval results in an automatic strike and potential suspension until access is restored.
